I started training with Francisco in early 2012, right before running my first marathon. Although I was not new to running, the typical “first timer” injuries were piling up as my mileage increased. I was not specifically looking for personal training, but was curious about whether there was something I could do to be a better runner, and decided to keep an open mind. During my first meeting with Francisco, he identified imbalances in muscle development that I had acquired from running, and explained what we could work on together. Needless to say, I really liked his training style, began seeing results quickly, and was hooked!
Francisco’s workouts are fun, but also thoughtful and well planned. He explained his rationale for each technique or exercise, and had something new for each session. He considered my goals and adapted his process accordingly (no leg day before long runs, for example). Throughout the process, Francisco taught me a lot about fitness and how to work out, an investment that I believe is more important than immediate results. But don’t get me wrong, there were definetly immediate results! Although weight loss was not my primary goal, I lost weight, and was injury free. Best of all, after just a few months of working with Francisco, I took 30 minutes off my marathon time. I would highly recommend Francisco to anyone looking to meet specific athletic goals or to improve your overall health and wellness. He is compassionate, dedicated, and an all-around rock star!
